Forlorn Buttons and Trim just waiting......

Do you have supplies, materials and containers of goodies just waiting to be created into something beautiful? Do your tubs of trim and buttons, boxes of beads and findings sit forlornly in the corner waiting to be transformed into gorgeous pieces of jewelry? Mine do.
I have all these supplies and no time to do anything with them. I love this trim above. It's a velvety material and the colors are so pretty. I have some ideas on what I would like to do with it...just can't find the time to sit and fiddle around with it.
This trim is really pretty...I want to make it into a wrist cuff of some sort. Add some more seed beads and a Victorian finding. Eventually it will be created into something gorgeous to wear. For now though it sits and waits.
Buttons, buttons and more buttons.....I have tons of buttons! Someday soon I will spend two or three days just going through my supplies and trying to make something with them. I have a couple of 3-day Holiday shows coming up here soon so I had better get busy!

  1. Isn't it always the way, too many ideas and not enough time. Loving the trim. I have been selling off some of mine, I just couldn't take the pressure anymore (he! he!) T. :)

  3. Hi Julie, So nice to meet you and thank you for including me in your pretty treasury of reds and linking me here on your wonderful blog.

I too have tons of trims and babbles just waiting to be adorned on something I've painted. In the meantime, they look gorgeous on display in pretty jars and containers in my studio.

    Hugs, Celestina Marie

  5. I'm the very same way! Tend to have piles and piles of stuff in the "waiting" stage... but, hey, at least that means we have pretty things waiting when we do have time, right? :)

  6. Love the trims! Especially the first ones. I can totally vouch for their loveliness, I have a beautiful sage green version. Like yours it sat in my sewing cabinet for ages before a bit of it found it's way to my wedding dress and a bit more onto an art nouveau clutch.

Love the blog, thanks for the feature and I'll be sure to keep reading!

  7. I love the victorian style trim! I think we all have lots of goodies that should be used, but, haven't been touched for awhile. I should pull out some of my stuff and go through it =)
